Bolt have made a smart summer jacket that offered protection from the rain, without looking like a rain jacket.
They worked with the StayWax fabric from British Millerain, the world’s first producer of waxed fabrics dating back to 1880 . The innovative Staywax differs from other waxed finishes as it is dry to touch and you do not get that greasy feel common to waxed fabrics. The wax is deeply embedded within the herringbone cotton weave and does not need re-waxing like other wax fabrics, it is even machine washable.
This jacket offers a high level of waterproofing and can withstand a substantial down-pour.
This technical fabric compliments the classic styling of the iconic Type II which is inspired by an original 1953 pattern. The jacket brings together style elements from denim, leather and Harrington jackets creating something new yet appearing timeless.
The jacket is cut to sit on the belt-line, has a tailored fit, slim collars and Bolt’s custom antique brass buttons.
Added Gun / D pocket and a ticket pocket is a subtle nod to the functional features of original motorcycle jackets.
